Adopt-a-Delegate

It would be impossible to host an African conference on Emergency Medicine without including delegates from Africa’s emerging economies. Still, the stark reality for many prospective delegates from this background is such that their financial means would be insufficient to enable attendance. AFEM will has taken the initiative to improve attendance of peers from deprived background.

Through the Adopt a Delegate project, prospective delegates from a developed world setting would be able to adopt, or part finance the registration and accommodation costs of a peer from an emerging economy for as little as $140. To encourage co-ownership of the project, adopted (sponsored) delegates will carry financial responsibility for return travel to the conference. Application is easy.
